The project Herders, took me on a solo trip to the remote Mongolian wilderness. Herders is an intimate look at a nomadic family living in the heart of the Mongolian steppe. It documents their daily routine as they honour and preserve their traditional culture and way of life as it collides with the 21st century and modern technology. Offering a glimpse into this often romanticised nomadic way of life, showing the true grittiness and reality of continuing the traditional practice of pastoral herding in the contemporary world. The project acts as a reminder to the beauty that can be found in a simple life by simple means. It represents the fragile connection between humans and nature, that is something we have lost in today’s modern world.
